Bio:
Meet Bowser! Bowser was brought into a small shelter in South Texas that has limited public visitation and few resources. Despite these hurdles, the shelter does the best they can and cares for the animals well. Bowser was a shelter favorite - he would always come up to see the few people that came to visit, wag his tail furiously and look at the visitor with pleading eyes. After being there for well over a month, Bowser's spirit was starting to break. He stopped greeting visitors with enthusiasm and often laid in his kennel, dejected. Fortunately NorthStar Pet Rescue was able to find a foster for him and Texas and spring him from the shelter. He's now back to his happy, goofy, and gentle self. Bowser is about 2-3 years old, and has a beautiful smooth coat with unusual markings that make passers-by stop and admire him. He's got a body, head shape, and some mannerisms that remind of us a ridgeback, and other traits that remind us of a boxer...but he's definitely a real "Heinz 57" mix! He seems to really like kids and we think he had probably been in a home with them. We think he's going to be about 70lbs when he gets some weight put back on him after being in the shelter. He's also great with dogs and is living with several dogs in his foster home. Please help Bowser find his forever home. Donations from the Gemma Rose Project will be used to get Bowser neutered and brought up to date on all his vaccinations prior to his adoption!
